The visual images for both projects are smooth Venkat. Especially with the red smoke coming from the cigar.

I would suggest playing around the type more for the book cover. I really don't agree with the use of black for the type on the spine, I think the darker green, or white, works better. As for the typeface on the front cover and the spine, some more exploration. Just to see what else you could come up with.

Again, the illustrations and direction is smooth in both projects. :)

I actually really wanted to keep my type basic and bold in order to show a strong contrast between the illustrative element of the actual cover. This is because when I used more playful text it made the book cover seem unprofessional in a way and gave the cover a more unfinished feel. On the spine I felt the black text worked better with the publishers logo and white just did not look right at all because there are really no other white elements on the cover.
